Winter Snow and Sun on Clam Shell Rings

Honey-colored light pours from a window, illuminating a clam shell resting on rough, lichen-dusted bark. The shell's concentric growth rings catch the glow, revealing intricate textures against the organic wood. A surreal division splits the view: the left half of the shell and bark are blanketed in fresh, drifting snowflakes that hang suspended in the air, while the right half basks in bright, clear sunshine. Fine dust particles dance in the sunlit shafts on the right, against the soft, white drifts on the left. The negative space around the subject emphasizes the impossible weather split, where winter snow and summer sun coexist on a single surface. A sharp shadow edge separates the snowy zone from the sunlit zone along the shell's curve.
