Flooded Rice Terraces Reflecting Clouds After Rain

Water fills the stepped agricultural plots, creating a mirror surface that holds the soft white clouds above. Between the vineyard trellises near Havana, the terraced earth appears dark and saturated against the bright reflections. Chaff and fine dust drift suspended in the humid air, catching the late morning light as they float across the frame. The dry season context shows through the sparse, golden stubble clinging to the raised banks. Water ripples gently where a breeze disturbs the surface, breaking the perfect symmetry of the sky. Along the edge of the nearest terrace, a clump of dried stalks rests against the wet mud, marking the boundary between the flooded field and the dry earth.
