Rice on Woven Mats Between Vineyard Trellises

Amber rice grains spread flat across woven bamboo mats rest on the dark earth between wooden vineyard trellis posts. Cool blue light from the twilight sky reflects off a nearby water surface, falling across the warm amber piles and the vertical posts. Low ground fog pools in the depressions between the rows, softening the dark soil beneath the drying crops. The mats show the texture of woven bamboo, their edges slightly curled. Vertical posts create strong leading lines that draw toward the distant village granary. One long shadow stretches across the wet ground where the reflected light meets the fog.
