Cracked Pumps at Blue Hour in Douma

Cool blue twilight washes over a shuttered gas station along a closed arcade in Douma, where rain-slicked pavement reflects the dimming sky. Two weathered fuel pumps stand fractured and abandoned, their glass faces cracked and covered in grime. Low-hanging monsoon clouds press heavy against the horizon, casting a flat, gray light that softens the sharp edges of the broken concrete. A chain-link fence runs along the perimeter, rusted and sagging under the weight of moisture. The pumps sit at the very edge of the view, partially obscured by a shadowed overhang. One puddle near the base of the nearest pump mirrors the fractured glass of the pump head, showing the fractured geometry of the decay in its dark surface.
