Batfish Circling Coral Mooring Line in Zanzibar

Golden afternoon light penetrates the crystal-clear Indian Ocean water, fracturing into dancing caustic patterns across the sandy seabed. A thick mooring line, heavily encrusted with textured orange and purple corals, stretches horizontally through the frame. Four batfish glide in a slow, synchronized circle around the rope, their flat, disc-shaped bodies catching the shimmering surface ripples above. The water remains exceptionally transparent, revealing the fine grain of the sand beneath the swaying marine growth.
