Autumn Sunset Signal Gantry at Lublin Lock
Amber light from the setting sun washes over the heavy structural steel of a signal gantry standing beside a canal lock in Lublin. The sky above is a blanket of low, gray clouds that soften the horizon and add depth behind the metal framework. Bare branches of autumn trees frame the edges, their brown and orange leaves caught in the wind, bending sharply against the rigid verticals of the structure. The steel beams cast long, dark shadows across the wet concrete of the lock chamber, highlighting the rough texture of the weathered metal. Horizontal guide rails lead the eye deep into the composition, showing the monumentality of the industrial infrastructure. A final bolt head on the lower beam reflects a sharp glint of the dying light.
