Amber Beacons on Lublin Dam Deck Before Dusk

Low amber light washes the steel girders of a hydroelectric intake near Lublin, casting long shadows across the empty observation deck. Above, dramatic clouds gather in heavy layers, their undersides glowing with the last heat of the day. Rotating amber beacons spin atop the structure, their beams cutting through the copper-toned air. The dry season leaves the surrounding ground dusty and bare, showing the scale of the industrial concrete and metal. From a worm's-eye perspective, the massive supports rise vertically, framing the sky. A thin film of rust stains the lower edges of the steel beams, marking the transition from bright daylight to the approaching night.
