Wet concrete curves upward in a tight spiral, rising past rows of illuminated office windows. Rain-slicked surfaces reflect the harsh midsummer sun, turning the gray ramp into a glossy ribbon against the blue sky. Below, dark floodwater laps against the base of a sturdy levee path. The bright afternoon light cuts through humid air, highlighting the texture of water-stained metal railings and the geometric precision of the overhead structure. Shadows fall sharply across the wet pavement, while distant windows glow with artificial warmth against the cooling concrete. One droplet rests on the edge of a steel support beam, trembling before falling.
