Derelict Canopy Under Salt Haze at Dusk in among toppled columns and nettles near Cordoba Argentina

Derelict Canopy Under Salt Haze at Dusk

by Malik Villa

Steel-blue twilight washes over a decaying platform canopy standing among toppled stone columns and dense green nettles. Salt haze blurs the edges of rusted metal beams, turning the ironwork into a mottled tapestry of orange and grey. Raindrops rest on the fractured roof, catching the fading ambient light while the ground remains slick with moisture from a brief sun shower. Layers of depth recede into the distance where the ruins merge with the humid Cordoba air. Corroded bolts hang loose, and peeling paint flakes onto the wet earth below. One shard of broken glass reflects the dim sky.
