Tibetan Amphitheater Ruins in Evening Honey Light

by Norma Goodwin

Honeyed evening light spills across weathered stone blocks of a crumbling amphitheater, casting long amber shadows through the ruins. Topped columns lie scattered among tall, gray-green nettles that whip in the wind, their frayed edges blurring against the deepening sky. Stone surfaces show deep erosion and lichen patches, glowing warmly where the sun touches them while recessed arches sink into cool violet twilight. Layers of broken masonry recede into the distance, showing vast, silent depth. Rough rock texture contrasts with the chaotic sprawl of wild vegetation reclaiming the structure. A jagged fragment of carved stone rests near the foreground, catching the last glow of the day.
