Telescope Dome Slit Moon Autumn Night

Deep red illumination washes the curved metal surface of the observatory dome, highlighting the cold, dry texture of the autumn air. A narrow vertical slit in the structure opens to reveal a thin crescent moon against the pitch-black sky. The metallic rim of the opening catches the dim light, creating a sharp contrast with the surrounding shadow. Rust and wear mark the painted steel, suggesting years of exposure to the dry climate near Torreón. The moon hangs just above the horizon, framed tightly by the mechanical geometry of the dome. A faint reflection of the red safety light glints off the polished brass hinge on the right edge.
