A sweeping beam of white light cuts through the humid night air, striking the smooth, curved surface of a white observatory dome perched on a ridgeline. The structure stands stark and silent against a sky dense with the Milky Way's starry band. Below, a low layer of atmospheric haze glows faintly where the rain season moisture lingers near the horizon. The lighthouse-sweep illumination creates sharp contrasts, turning the dome into a dark silhouette while highlighting the texture of the metal cladding. Distant lights from Trinidad and Tobago fade into the wet darkness. The beam sweeps across the frost-hushed ground, revealing the curvature of the earth and the vastness of the night sky above.
