Heavy overcast clouds blanket the late autumn sky above a weathered concrete observatory dome in Sichuan. The metal housing, streaked with moisture and rust, frames a telescope that remains fixed upward, its lens reflecting the faint glow of distant stars breaking through the thick cloud layer. Below, the tidal survey transect cuts through damp earth, its markers faintly visible in the low light. The foreground blurs into soft bokeh, drawing focus to the rigid geometry of the dome against the organic chaos of the stormy night.
