Golden light from the setting sun floods the horizon, turning the ancient stone arch of a Roman bathhouse ruin into a stark, dark silhouette against the bright sky. Fine rain streaks through the air, catching the backlight and creating a shimmering veil over the weathered masonry. The heavy, wet stones of the archway dominate the foreground, their rough texture softened by the dampness of early winter.
