Silhouetted Rafter Punched Standing Wave
Dark water churns violently as a whitewater raft punches through a standing wave near open fields in Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur. The raft and its occupants appear as a sharp black silhouette against the deep indigo sky of the monsoon blue hour. Low ground fog pools in the depression of the riverbank, softening the transition between the churning water and the distant flat landscape. Droplets of spray hang frozen in the air, catching the faint ambient light while the raft cuts a diagonal path through the cresting foam.
