Kayaker Eddy Turn Behind Giant Flower

Honeyed evening light washes over a turbulent whitewater rapid where a kayaker executes a tight eddy turn behind a submerged boulder. To the right, a single flower has grown to the impossible height of a mature tree, its massive petals catching the last light before nightfall. The dry season leaves the riverbank exposed with cracked earth and sparse vegetation. Dramatic clouds stack high in the sky, casting long, sharp shadows across the churning water. The kayaker wears a helmet and life vest, their paddle frozen mid-stroke against the foam. The giant bloom dominates the background, its scale dwarfing the human figure while the water reflects the surreal verticality of the flower stem rising from the sand.
