Shepherd and Flock Under Prayer Flags at Thimphu Pass

Hard noon light flattens the stone ridge where a shepherd guides a dense flock of sheep across the high mountain pass. Colorful prayer flags snap rigidly against the wind, their edges fraying under the coastal glare. Dramatic cumulus clouds stack heavily overhead, casting sharp, moving shadows across the rugged terrain. The shepherd wears heavy, earth-toned layers suitable for the turn of seasons, walking with deliberate steps on the dusty, uneven path. The low angle emphasizes the scale of the mountains looming above the small figures. Woolly coats of the sheep create a textured, undulating mass moving in unison. One tattered flag corner flutters violently at the very top edge of the frame.
