Rusted Drawbridge Raised at Blue Hour Mist

Cool blue twilight washes over a massive steel drawbridge locked in its raised vertical position along a Massachusetts maintenance walkway. Thick, gray mist rests on the lower spans, obscuring the water below while the rusted orange and flaking iron surfaces of the bridge structure stand out against the darkening sky. Small red and green signal lamps mounted on the tower begin to glow, casting faint halos through the fog. Converging lines of the walkway railing and bridge trusses lead toward a distant vanishing point where the structure disappears into the haze. A wet puddle on the concrete walkway reflects the glowing red signal light in a sharp, distorted streak.
