Cold silver light falls through the heavy steel grating of a bridge span, slicing the damp air into sharp, geometric beams. Below, a rust-streaked maintenance cradle hangs suspended, its wet metal surfaces reflecting the pale morning sky. Raindrops rest on the rivets and structural beams, creating a textured landscape of grey and ochre. The perspective looks up from the ground, showing the massive scale of the ironwork against the soft, hazy backdrop of late spring. Hard shadows stretch across the wet pavement, intersecting with the vertical lines of the support columns. Water beads along the edge of the cradle's floor, catching the faint glow of the rising sun before dripping silently into the shadows.
