Provence Dawn Bridge Pier in Foggy Haze

Pale morning haze softens the steel cables and concrete pier rising from mirror-still water. The low angle emphasizes the civic-scale austerity of the infrastructure against a midsummer sky. Faint mist rests on the surface, blurring the horizon where the water meets the distant bridge walkway. Concrete textures appear cool and smooth under the diffused light, while rust-colored bolts mark the joints of the metal framework. The reflection of the pier stretches vertically, creating a symmetrical pillar in the dark, glassy water. One rust stain runs down the concrete leg, ending in a sharp edge against the shadow.
