Rooftop Clothesline Over Maiduguri Foothills

Dry, pale blue sky stretches above a cluster of flat rooftops where a simple rope clothesline cuts horizontally across the frame. Thin garments in muted earth tones hang motionless against the backdrop of layered, dusty foothills rising in the distance. The late morning sun casts short, sharp shadows that define the rough texture of the clay walls and the taut wire. Dramatic, towering cumulus clouds dominate the upper third of the view, their bases darkening the horizon while their tops glow white. The air appears still and clear, showing the vast, arid landscape of the cool season. One white sock hangs at the far right edge, its fabric slightly stiff in the dry air.
