Suspension Bridge Vanishing Into Fog Over Gorge

Cool morning light touches the rim of a suspension bridge where thick cables vanish into a low fog drifting over a deep gorge. The structure sits across a storm-bright plain near Maiduguri, its steel supports standing in deep shadow while a sharp rim light outlines the upper edges. The ground beneath shows dry, textured earth typical of the cool season, with sparse, brittle vegetation clinging to the rocky edges. Layers of depth recede as the fog thickens, obscuring the far side of the span and merging the bridge into the mist. The sky above remains perfectly clear and pale blue, against the white vapor below. One cable anchor bolted into the rock face catches the faint morning glow.
