Drying Peat Slabs on Wire Fence Amidst Nagaland Foothills

Soft, diffused light from a late spring overcast sky washes over a ridge in Nagaland, revealing layers of green foothills stretching into the distance. In the foreground, rectangular slabs of dark brown peat rest against a rusted wire fence, their surfaces still damp from recent rain. The fence sags slightly under the weight of the drying earth blocks. Humid air hangs heavy, making the distant hills appear as soft, blue-grey washes against the sharper textures of the bog. Moss rests on the wire strands, blending with the earth tones of the landscape. One slab leans precariously against the metal mesh, its rough, fibrous edge catching the muted daylight.
