Cold silver dawn light spills over a quaking bog along a wave-cut shoreline near Sydney, where late spring moisture lingers on the surface. A light drizzle creates a fine mist that softens the horizon, while the peat mat beneath the water ripples with subtle movement. Dark green mosses and scattered ferns rest on the floating vegetation, their colors deepened by the wetness. The sky reflects perfectly in the still pools, forming a seamless mirrored composition that doubles the pale morning glow. Tiny raindrops disturb the surface tension, sending concentric circles across the black water. A thin layer of fog hovers just above the bog, blurring the distant tree line where the shoreline meets the land. The edge of the floating mat rests against a muddy bank, showing the rough texture of exposed roots.
