Golden hour light washes the canopy in amber and soft ochre hues. A still pond mirrors the overhead foliage, creating a symmetrical surface of liquid fire. Light rain falls in fine, translucent threads, distorting the reflection into rippled streaks of color. The water remains dark enough to hold the glow of the setting sun while the surrounding trees display early spring buds rather than deep autumn decay. The composition centers the pond, leaving expansive margins of textured green and yellow. One branch dips toward the water, its reflection broken by the gentle impact of raindrops. The surface tension holds the distorted colors in a fluid, shifting mosaic.
