Cold silver dawn light spills over a Lombardy reed bed, turning the air into a sheet of frost. A red fox stands alert on a narrow game trail, its wet fur glistening with droplets that catch the pale morning glow. The surrounding reeds stand stiff and brown, their tips heavy with white frost crystals. Sharp focus locks onto the fox's intense eyes and pointed ears, while the background reeds blur into soft vertical strokes of rust and grey. Frost coats the ground in a fine, crystalline layer, showing the stillness of the peak autumn morning. The animal's stance is rigid, muscles tense beneath the reddish coat. One frost crystal rests on the tip of a nearby dried reed stalk.
