Pale morning light falls through sheer curtains, casting soft rectangles across the polished concrete floor of a Maracaibo community center gymnasium. A large white banner hangs draped over the top of two industrial radiators, its wet surface still glistening with monsoon moisture. Condensation beads along the metal pipes, while the fabric sags slightly under its own weight, creating deep folds that catch the diffuse glow. Muted reflections of the banner and radiators shimmer on the damp floor, mirroring the quiet tension of the empty room. The green and red paint of the Venezuelan flag on the banner appears slightly blurred by the water. One drip falls from the bottom hem onto the concrete.
