Cold moonlight spills across the wet, dark soil of a rice terrace in Glodok, Jakarta, illuminating the first planted rows where water reflects a pale, silvery sheen. A narrow tractor track cuts through the earth on the left, its surface rough and compacted against the glistening mud. Low haze rests on the horizon, softening the distant edges of the fields into a gray wash. The water in the furrows holds the sky's faint glow, creating a stark contrast with the deep black of the unplanted soil. Shadows stretch long and indistinct across the rows, showing the stillness of the predawn hours. one drop of moisture rests on a green shoot at the edge of the frame.
