Tractor Tracks in Predawn Chubu Rice Paddies

Wet, dark earth fills terraced rice paddies in Chubu, marked by deep, curved furrows where a tractor moved through the mud. Predawn darkness blankets the landscape, interrupted only by a sharp rim light tracing the ridges of freshly seeded rows. Heavy, clearing storm clouds hang above, casting a cool gray-blue tone across the wet sheen of the soil. Layers of terraces recede into the distance, each level defined by the damp texture and the faint glow of rising light. The tractor's tracks curve sharply, cutting through the mud with practical precision. A final ridge of dark soil at the edge catches the first hint of dawn, glowing faintly against the deep shadow of the valley floor.
