Pine Forest After Snowfall Near Cleveland

Bright open daylight floods a dense stand of pine trees whose branches hold a fresh, uneven layer of white snow. The needles beneath the accumulation remain dark green, creating a sharp textural contrast against the bright ground cover. To the north, a massive wall of stacked thunderheads rises over the flat horizon, their bases dark and heavy while the tops catch the late afternoon sun. The sky above the storm front is a perfectly clear, deep blue, devoid of any clouds. The light falls flat across the forest floor, casting short, distinct shadows from the tree trunks. One pine branch in the foreground droops slightly under the weight of the snow, its white tip resting against the dark bark of the main trunk.
