Dewdrop on Pine Needle Frost Window in along a frost-edged windowpane in Jizzakh

Dewdrop on Pine Needle Frost Window

by Tabitha Allison

Pale morning light bounces off smooth white walls to illuminate a single water droplet suspended from the sharp tip of a green pine needle. The spherical drop refracts the room, showing distorted pale surfaces within its curved glass-like skin. Behind the needle, a jagged line of white frost rests on the vertical glass pane, marking the boundary between the cold window and the warmer interior. The pine needle remains rigid and dark against the soft, diffused glow. Fine frost crystals cluster along the glass edge, their geometric shapes sharp against the smooth transparency of the pane. A faint reflection of the needle tip appears on the wet surface of the droplet itself.
