Silvery filaments of noctilucent clouds glow against a deep indigo sky above stacked thunderheads in Minas Gerais. The upper atmosphere catches faint light while the storm layers below sit in heavy shadow. Wind whips the cloud edges into sharp, fibrous trails that stretch horizontally across the frame. Dark gray cumulonimbus towers rise in vertical bands, their tops flattened by high-altitude gusts. The contrast between the luminous upper haze and the brooding storm mass creates a stark visual divide. Below the cloud layer, the horizon line is jagged and uneven, defined by the rough texture of the storm clouds. A thin band of pale blue separates the glowing ice crystals from the darkening storm base.
