New Brunswick Thunderstorm Lightning Horizon Midday

Hard coastal glare illuminates a vast expanse of New Brunswick late summer sky where stacked thunderheads rise in heavy gray tiers. Distant lightning fractures the dark underbelly of the highest cloud layer, casting a stark white glow against the oppressive blue. Wind whips the low-lying vegetation into a blur of motion along the flat horizon line. The clouds dominate the frame, their billowing forms showing immense scale and impending force. Below, the land stretches out in muted greens and browns, barely visible beneath the turbulent atmosphere. A final flash of light illuminates the rough texture of the cloud base before fading into the midday gloom.
