Marabou Stork on Termite Mound After Sunrise

Soft, diffused morning light washes over a vast, pale blue sky above a dry, golden field near Plovdiv. A massive marabou stork stands motionless atop a weathered, reddish-brown termite mound, its grey feathers ruffled by the still air. The bird's wrinkled neck hangs loosely, and its heavy beak points toward the grassy plain. Shallow depth of field blurs the distant treeline into a soft green haze while keeping the stork's rough skin and the mound's cracked clay surface in sharp relief. The creature's yellow legs grip the uneven earth, anchoring it against the gentle slope. A faint shadow stretches across the mound's side where the early sun breaks through the clouds.
