Maori Meeting House Entrance at Blue Hour

Reflected water light washes over the intricate black and red carvings of a Maori meeting house entrance, standing within a vast vaulted atrium in Auckland. Late summer clouds gather heavily above, their grey tones mirrored in the polished floor beneath the structure. The low angle emphasizes the towering posts and spiraling koru patterns that climb the dark timber. Warm amber tones from the building's interior spill outward, against the cool blue ambient light of the evening sky. One carved figure gazes forward, its painted eyes catching the soft glow. The polished stone floor reflects the clouded ceiling above, at the base of the sacred architecture in the cool, still air of the atrium.
