Green Turtle Silhouette at Kitsilano Blue Hour

Deep indigo water fills the frame around a green sea turtle ascending toward the surface. The animal appears as a dark silhouette against a bright, diffused burst of light where the sun has just dipped below the horizon. Plankton haze softens the distance, turning the background into a gradient of violet and charcoal. To the right, the jagged edge of a volcanic drop-off rises vertically, its rough texture barely visible in the low light. The turtle's flippers stretch upward, cutting through the suspended particles that float along the beam of fading sunlight. Tiny specks of organic matter drift in the current near the smooth curve of the shell. A faint reflection of the light source glimmers on the water's surface at the top edge.
