Gannet Diving Into Morning Fog at Sunrise
First light breaks through the pale blue haze, illuminating a gannet plunging downward with wings swept tight against its body. The bird's white plumage gleams while dark flight feathers trace sharp lines against the soft, pooling fog below. Low ground mist rests on the flat terrain, obscuring the earth beneath the dive path. Sunlight strikes the wet surface of the water, creating a scattered field of bright reflections. The bird's streamlined form dominates the center of the frame, frozen in a moment of high-speed descent. Below, the fog shifts in texture, ranging from thin veils to dense, opaque pockets near the ground. at the edge is the sharp tip of the beak pointing directly toward the shimmering water surface.
