Vivid electric blue wings flash against a backdrop of tall, wet reeds as the sun dips low on the Guinea horizon. Rain-slicked stalks bend slightly, their green surfaces reflecting the warm, fire-like glow of the setting light. The butterfly hovers just above the damp grass, its delicate veins visible against the humid air that hangs heavy and still. Droplets rest on the reed tips, catching the golden hour light. The low angle emphasizes the insect's fragile flight path through the dense, swaying vegetation. one drop of water slides from a reed tip, falling silently into the dark soil below.
