Frost on Glass in Maldives Ruined Greenhouse in inside a collapsed lobby under broken plaster in Maldives

Frost on Glass in Maldives Ruined Greenhouse

by Luke Blake

Cool evening blue light falls through shattered roof tiles into a collapsed lobby, illuminating thick black soil mounded across the remaining floor. Surviving glass panes in the greenhouse nave hold delicate white frost patterns, against the warm, flickering glow of a single candle. Condensation beads on nearby vertical surfaces, tracking slowly down the cold frames. Broken plaster hangs from the ceiling in rough, grey shards, while dark earth spills over the tiled edges. The composition pulls attention along the straight lines of the broken framework toward the glowing flame. A sharp edge of ice rests on the bottom corner of a window pane.
