Clouded Milk Glass in Qatar Ruin

by Layla Vinson

Copper-toned light washes over the crumbling walls of a forgotten creamery in Qatar, where grime coats every surface. Clouded milk glass panels hang in broken frames, their once-clear surfaces now opaque with dust and age. Low ground fog pools in the hollows of the floor, obscuring the base of cracked pillars. Leading lines formed by fallen beams and scattered debris draw toward the dark interior. The turn of seasons leaves the dry earth bare, while the warm golden hour sun casts long, soft shadows across the debris. A shard of milky glass rests on a jagged concrete edge, catching the fading light.
