Chambered Nautilus Drifting Past Reef Wall

Soft, diffused afternoon light falls through the water, illuminating a chambered nautilus as it drifts past a dark, vertical reef wall. The shell displays a spiral of creamy white chambers separated by thin, amber-tinted partitions, its surface smooth and pearlescent against the murky backdrop. Fine plankton haze fills the water, creating a milky veil that softens the distant reef edge and reduces contrast. The nautilus floats in the foreground, its tentacles faintly visible trailing behind, while the rough texture of the coral wall anchors the right side of the frame. Sunlight catches the curve of the shell, highlighting the delicate ridges along its outer lip. The water remains still, suspending the creature in a moment of quiet motion.
