Nautilus Swimming in Florida Afternoon Light

Deep blue water surrounds a white nautilus shell spiraling through the column. Shafts of late-afternoon sunlight pierce the surface, illuminating the creature's smooth, pearlescent curves and the intricate chambered structure. Suspended particles glitter like tiny stars in the golden beams, drifting past the shell's ridges. The water remains still, holding the animal in a moment of quiet motion. Late autumn clarity defines the visibility, allowing the bright shell to stand out against the darker azure background. Fine sediment settles gently near the bottom, while the light fades into deeper shadows at the edges of the frame. One ray of sun highlights the final spiral edge.
