Boatbuilder Wiping Dust at Doorway in Kitwe

Thick mist hangs heavy over the open doorway near Kitwe, blurring the wet season landscape beyond. Honeyed evening light spills across the threshold, illuminating the worker as he wipes his tired hands together. Fine wood dust coats the sleeves of his shirt, clinging to the fabric folds. Behind him, the interior holds curved wooden planks resting against rough walls and tools scattered on the floor. Rain-soaked earth glistens outside, reflecting the soft amber glow of the fading day. Particles of dust settle slowly across the wooden beam at the edge of the frame.
