A bird of paradise spreads iridescent feathers in a vibrant mating display, its plumage glowing against the cool blue-grey water. Low-angle perspective emphasizes the bird's towering stance on mossy rocks beside the rushing current. Early winter air leaves the surrounding vegetation sparse and brown.
