Frosted Catwalk and Gull Feathers Under Bridge
Ice crystals coat the metal grating of the intake catwalk, forming a jagged white border along the walkway's edge. Below, steady rain creates a textured sheet of water reflecting the clear late-afternoon sky. Scattered among the frost are dozens of pale gull feathers, their soft down against the hard, industrial steel. The cable-stayed bridge span looms overhead, its massive concrete pylons rising into the dry mountain air. Raindrops bead on the cold metal surfaces, sliding slowly toward the reservoir intake. The wet steel gleams with a dull silver sheen against the grey winter sky. A cluster of white feathers rests directly on a frost-covered bolt near the railing's edge.
