Autumn Moss on Jordan Dam Wall
Wet stone dominates the frame, its gray surface streaked with dark vertical lines where rope has dragged across the concrete. Patches of vibrant green moss rest on the damp crevices, against the rough, weathered texture of the infrastructure. Overhead, thick black cables and heavy transformers hang suspended, their metallic surfaces gleaming under the soft, diffused light of an early afternoon after rain. The air above the equipment appears to shimmer slightly, distorting the view just enough to suggest heat or vibration rising from the machinery. Brown autumn leaves scatter across the lower concrete steps, caught in the shadow of the towering wall. at the edge is a small, jagged crack in the stone where one drop of water rests, reflecting the gray sky.
