The ground beneath is not pavement but a dense carpet of vibrant ferns, their fronds layered thickly across the forest floor. The trunks are smooth and gray, rising vertically to meet the clear blue sky visible in the gaps above. Shadows stretch long and sharp across the greenery, indicating the high angle of the late morning sun. The composition remains stark and minimalist, focusing entirely on the vertical rhythm of the palms against the textured, undulating sea of ferns. One shadow falls across the nearest frond, marking the edge of light and dark.
