Alaskan Tea Plots Stepping Into Winter Clouds

Deep shadows dominate the terraced tea plots as they cascade downward toward a thick blanket of low-hanging clouds. A sharp rim of pale morning light catches the upper edges of the geometric irrigation channels, creating a stark contrast against the dark, dormant soil. The landscape is stripped bare by the dead of winter, with no greenery visible on the terraced steps. The irrigation geometry forms rigid, repeating lines that guide toward the cloud layer below. Mist rests on the valley floor, obscuring the base of the slope while the upper ridges remain defined by the cold, directional sunrise glow. The white mist meets the dark earth at a precise, horizontal boundary.
