Spiral Ramp Under Alaska Bridge in Drizzle

Gray concrete curves ascend in a tight spiral beneath the massive steel cables of a suspension bridge. Overhead, rectangular office windows glow with artificial yellow light, reflecting faintly on the wet, dark asphalt below. A fine mist rests on the air, turning the gray sky into a uniform sheet of diffused illumination. Water beads along the metal railings and drips from the underside of the overpass, creating small, shimmering pools on the ramp surface. The steel trusses rise vertically, their cold silver tones against the warm, steady glow of the interior lights. Shadows stretch long and soft across the damp pavement, showing the sheer scale of the infrastructure against the dim, polar afternoon. The final curve of the ramp disappears into the gloom, framed by the heavy, rain-slicked girders.
