Abandoned Bottling Plant Ruins in Honduran Cloisters

by Max Bell

Shattered glass shards litter every surface of a collapsed industrial structure nestled within crumbling stone cloisters in Honduras. Bright midmorning tropical light cuts through thick mist, illuminating dust motes and the jagged edges of broken bottles. The dry season leaves the ground dusty and bare, against the wet sheen on remaining wet surfaces. Layers of depth recede into the distance where stone arches frame the decay. Rough concrete walls stand beside piles of amber and clear glass fragments. One shard reflects the pale sky above the rubble.
